This weeks Weekly Photo Challenge was Action/fairy tale photos. I chose to do action photos. I wanted to do the Mentos in pop for one of my photos...but didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. It didn't create the explosion I was expecting but it still fizzed up and created an awesome action shot. I really liked this weekly photo challenge because it required a lot of planning an precise timing in order to have your photo turn out.
This photo was taken for the Halloween Scary weekly photo challenge. This was a really fun challenge because it was Halloween and Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year. I love all the dressing up and candy. I used a jack-o-lantern light as my object because I think it looks really cool with the glowing pumpkin and black background. This photo was taken for the Texture Weekly Photo Challenge. I really liked this photo challenge because it allowed me to experiment with my camera and get close up to the objects. I also like it because it allows viewers to interpret what they think the object by be because you can't always tell when you're up close to it. I took decided to take a photo of grass because each blade of grass is going in a different direction so it looks very unique. This weeks Weekly Photo Challenge was leading lines. I used a fence because it runs through the whole photo. I like this photo because it follows the rule of thirds and the texture in the wires of the fence. I also really like this photo because it draws your eye in because of the leading lines technique. This photo was taken for The Sky is Falling weekly photo challenge. It shows the change from summer to fall. I really like this photo because of how the leaf is green in the centre and orange on the edges. I think it looks really cool. It was also the first photo I took using the really cool cameras at school. This picture of a Jasmine Plant was taken for the reflections weekly photo challenge. I decided to use this photo because you can clearly see the leaves in the water. I think that the brick pattern underneath the plant makes it really unique. The photo follows the rule of thirds because where the plant meets the ground is the bottom line of the grid and the actual plant is slightly off to the left. This picture was part of the Weekly Photo Challenge "Rainbows". For the rainbow photo challenge, the pictures had to incorporate the seven colours of the rainbow, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. I decided to use music notes because playing the piano is definitely one of my favourite things to do. I have been playing the piano for many years and thought that this picture would incorporate a part of my life into it. |
